Each time we shoot a wedding, we get nervous. A wedding is so much more than a one-day process for us. We spend weeks scouring the internet searching for fun, new inspiration. We spend time talking about the day, the itinerary, the schedule, the must-have photos and the logistics.

Every time we shoot a wedding we get nervous on the drive over, and we discuss who is going to be where, and what we need to remember. But, then as soon as the camera is out--the nervousness dissapates, and excitement takes over. How cool is it that we are capturing someone's "best day" ever. I mean inevitably, when asked about your 'top ten' days ever--your wedding is in there. Think about it, you are surrounded by the people you love, the center of attention, and you got to design the entire day--tell everyone where to go, what to do. What is not to love about that? Then, most importantly, you get to tell the whole world that you choose this person to be yours for the rest of your life. That your dreams are really coming true.

It's moments like that that make us love what we do. Moments where the bride looks at the groom and thinks "I am so lucky that you love me, and only me." And where the groom looks at the bride and thinks (so obviously, that you can almost see the word bubble appear over his head) "She is so beautiful."

Jenna and PJ's wedding was just that--such a celebration of their love, their relationship. But mostly, it was so obvious to us, the photographers who didn't even know them, that the wedding was such a lovely combination of the two of their personalities. It was fantastic.

New & Improved Us

Hello everyone! I know you're thinking "where have these people been?"

Well, we've been...having babies, shooting weddings, shooting pictures, and re-designing ourselves.

It's been a pretty exciting year for us.

As far as upcoming events...we have a wedding this weekend.

We LOVE to shoot weddings. It is so fun and exciting to be a part of someone's special day. While it is fun, it is also nerve-wracking. It's a lot of responsibility for one person (well, two people technically) to hold. We spend hours planning and preparing to shoot a wedding, we create an itinerary, go over the schedule and look up photo ideas to get inspiration. That's a lot more work than most people think.

But this "work" sometimes feels more like "play" anyways.

It’s been awhile since our last post! We’ve been very busy making some changes to our business. For starters, we’ve updated our editing software. This will allow us to better edit the pictures we take and also enhance our images with some special “filters”. We’re really excited about using these new features!

In addition to our software, we have set up with a couple of new companies that will handle our picture printing and albums. Setting up with a printing company will now allow the friends and family of our clients to easily order the images of their choice on.line through SpitFirePhoto. For our albums, AsukaBook will be fulfilling these orders. Hoyle|Cunningham will still be creating the albums from scratch, but will be using this new company to process and print our orders. The new coffee table books we are now able to offer are a little more expensive than our past albums, but are of a much better quality. You will notice that some of these albums are included in our new packages!

We are still working on trying to integrate a wedding slideshow preview to view through our blog. At this time we are unable to do that, but are still looking at our different options and hope to be able to provide that soon!

Our current promotion: Receive $75 for your referral (when your referral signs a contract with deposit for any of our H|C wedding packages). We are also working on a special promotion for our clients who book wedding packages with us!

Our First Entry

Hello! This being our first blog entry and all, we thought we'd give you an idea of what to expect here...

In addition to updates made to our main website (www.HoyleCunningham.com), we will try to, as often as possible, update our blog to include any new specials, products, or services we are currently offering.

Right now, as posted on our website, we are running a special for referrals: Receive $50 for your referral*

*Receive $50 when your referral signs a contract with deposit for a Hoyle|Cunningham Wedding Package. One discount per wedding package.

This special will run until further notice - please check back here or on our main website for new specials!

We are in the process of educating ourselves on the art of creating picture slideshows to upload to our blog. As we are beginning to shoot more weddings, we are considering providing a "preview slideshow" one week after the wedding. We will do this in effort to allow the bride and groom (and anyone else they choose) to take a sneak peek while we continue to edit the remaining images we will upload to our on.line print service for viewing and/or ordering. As always, the bride and groom will be given CDs containing all of the images along with limited copyright to print for their personal use.

In the meantime, we are really busy trying to get our name out there. Look for us at local bridal shows and remember, referrals pay!
